Kigali International Airport (also known as Kanombe Airport) is the only international airport in Rwanda. Several daily flights connect Kigali with other capitals of the sub-region and intercontinental flights allow passenger traffic between Europe, Middle East and other continents, directly or with a connection.

The Kigali Convention Centre is located 5 km from the bustling city centre and the Kigali International Airport (KGL). Business delegates are within a few kilometres of government and corporate offices, and leisure travellers will delight in nearby local landmarks and attractions.
With eighteen individual meeting rooms alongside the main auditorium, and a dedicated events team, The Kigali Convention Centre is one of the region’s largest and most well-respected venues which can host more than 5,000 delegates at a time. From 1st Jan 2018, Nationals of all countries receive visas on arrival at Kigali International Airport and all land borders. Citizens of countries members to the following international organizations; African Union, Commonwealth, and La Francophonie get visas upon arrival and are waived visa fees for a visit of 30 days.
A citizen of East African Community Member States shall be issued a pass/entry visa free of charge upon arrival to stay for a period of six months.
The following countries to be granted 90 days valid visa free of charge upon arrival: Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe, Singapore, and the state of Qatar.

Banking hours are from 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 09:00 to 15:00 on Saturdays. Banking amenities are available at all commercial banks. Most banks have cash dispensing machines accepting Visa, MasterCard, and Cirrus.

As part of an environmental protection policy, plastic bags are not allowed in Rwanda. Passengers entering Kigali International Airport, or any other border posts with plastic bags are required to discard them and are supplied with an environmentally friendly alternative.
The electricity supply in Rwanda is 220/240V AC. You are advised to bring your own round, two-prong adapter, and transformer for 110V AC.
The two Rwandan mobile telecommunication service providers available are MTN and Airtel. Mobile telephone service providers also provide a gateway to the Internet using GPRS, 3G, and 4G. Cell phone SIM cards are widely available.
